Badrinath, a sacred town in Uttarakhand, is a key part of the Char Dham Yatra, which includes Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. It is home to the famous Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, attracting thousands of devotees every year. Nestled at an altitude of 3,100 meters, Badrinath is surrounded by the Garhwal Himalayas and the Alaknanda River. Established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century, the temple is accessible for only six months a year, as winters bring heavy snowfall.
The ideal time to visit Badrinath is between May and October. The temple remains closed from October/November to April due to extreme weather conditions.
